What does a cheap housewife do when needing a pair of fancy baby shoes? Stick on a flower, of course!
After balking at $50 dress shoes for kids online, I decided to buy a $15 pair of shoes from Target for a fancy birthday party (seriously fancy - basically a wedding) that we were attending. The pink patent shoes were fine on their own but I wanted to add a little pizzazz - in the form of a flower made out of an old shirt.
This is pretty simple, run of the mill flower. I just cut out a bunch of circles, hot glued it onto a smaller felt circle and then put small rubber bands on the back. I have a whole pack of the baby hair ties - which was the perfect size. I just rubber banded them to the ties for a side flower but it would look super cute in the front as well. (Rubber band around small alligator clips)
Best of all, Tuna loves her fancy shoes and wears them around the house all day long.
